From the sunny Dominican Republic in the Caribbean, Dr. Douglas Bournigal and I (Raul Navarro) have been closely monitoring the Phenom's marvelous progress and entry into the market, enjoying all along the info and pictures at JetBrief. Last week we received Embraer's sales executive Timon Huber with a Phenom 100 piloted by CA Miranda and CA Salgado. It was a very successful visit, the aircraft received excellent response from potential buyers.
I would like to share my pictures with the Phenom community and introduce myself. I am currently a pilot on the E145 for American Eagle Airlines based in New York's JFK airport. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, both Dr. Bournigal and I have great interest in developing private level aviation in the Caribbean and Latin America. We are currently organizing a Corporate Flight Department with two Phenom 100 and one Phenom 300 using the shared ownership model. The Dominican Republic currently (Thanks to Dr. Bournigal's efforts) does not tax foreign private aircraft weighing less than 12,500 pounds and offers wonderful tourist attractions and top level accomodations. We would like to extend a warm invitation to anyone in the flying community who decides to venture off into the beautiful Caribbean to stop by our Island. We will gladly arrange handling and customs procedures. | |

Phenom 100 just landed in Santo Domingo. The first comment from every visitor was "I thought it was a smaller aircraft." Definitely has ramp presence. Contributed by: Raul L. Navarro - 17 Jul 2009 |
